The Palau Martorell is hosting an exhibition of the renowned artist Marc Chagall's titled "In Quest of Beauty". This remarkable exhibition, curated by Lola Durán Úcar, presents an extensive collection of 150 breathtaking works, including a selection of 25 previously unseen masterpieces in Spain. Marc Chagall, a true visionary of his time, was an artist who defied conventional classification and forged his own unique and mesmerising artistic language. Having settled in Paris at a young age, Chagall immersed himself in the dynamic and avant-garde art scene of the early 20th century, associating with some of the most influential artists of his time. While drawing inspiration from various artistic movements such as Cubism, Fauvism, Surrealism, and Orphism, Chagall remained resolutely independent, crafting a distinctive style that was truly his own.

This exhibition provides a remarkable insight into the vast and diverse range of Chagall's artistic endeavours. Each piece in this collection is a reflection of his life experiences, weaving together a personal universe where vibrant colours bring life to both real and imaginary characters and landscapes. "In Quest of Beauty" showcases Chagall's artistic legacy, leaving visitors in awe of his extraordinary creations.

"In Quest of Beauty" will be on display until 24 March, 2024 at the Palau Martorell in Barcelona, Spain.
